Educating for the future

Together, we can

Build a community where all children are educated

Our Impact

We’ve enrolled many children into primary & secondary schools improving the lives of the community.

Education is a fundamental human right for every child.  It promotes individual freedom, empowerment and yields development benefits. Yet millions of children and adults remain deprived of educational opportunities, many as a result of poverty and other man made disasters.

What We do

Relieving poverty through Education.

Noor-foundation recognizes that education for all is a powerful tool by which economically and socially marginalized children can lift themselves out of poverty, participate fully in the society they live in and promote peace.

As the Islam stress a knowledge (elmi ) a lot. The first verse that Allah (SW) revealed to prophet Mohamed (Peace be upon him) was ‘’read in the name of your lord who created ’’. Noor Foundation Somalia therefore believes:

  • letting a child to get educated is the best gift to offer
  • enhancing the wellbeing of society is  through education
  • eradicating poverty and social exclusion  is common service

We do this by

  • investing in schools and educational resources
  • Working to mitigate the affect of disasters, preparing for their occurrence and responding by providing relief and rehabilitation.
  • Promoting sustainable development through programmes in education, health and nutrition, water and sanitation, and income generation.
  • Advocating on behalf of the poor.

We Build Schools

We built many schools from scratch and  renovated many others in the target communities. Most of the villages and communities never had a school before.

Com. Development

Our primary target is community development through educating the youth and charting a brighter future for them and the community as a whole.

We Educate

We run 13 schools for the community we serve to educate children and youth for a better future. Some schools are located in remote areas in order to educate children where ever they are.

We Employ

We employ qualified teachers in every school to make sure that learners get the education they deserve. Our panel of experts interview the candidates and pick the best teachers for each subject.

Noor Foundation Somalia, Education charity, guided by the teachings of Islam, as the Word Noor in Arabic means (light), endeavours to tackle poverty and its causes by developing innovative and sustainable solutions that enable individuals and their communities to live with dignity and by supporting initiatives that promote economic and social justice.
